Terms of Service

Last updated: 14 May 2026

These terms govern your purchase and use of Klippit ("the Software", "we", "us"), a macOS application developed and sold from the United Kingdom. By purchasing or using the Software you agree to these terms.

1. What you're buying

A perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Klippit on up to two Macs that you personally own. The licence is yours forever — it does not expire.

You may not redistribute, resell, sublicence, or reverse-engineer the Software. You may not remove or alter any copyright or licence notices.

2. Payment & merchant

Purchases are processed by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles payment, VAT, and refunds. The transaction will appear on your statement as PADDLE.NET* KLIPPIT or similar.

3. Refunds

We offer a 14-day full refund from the date of purchase, no questions asked. Email support@klippit.app within 14 days of buying and we'll process the refund via Paddle, typically within 5 working days.

After 14 days, refunds are at our discretion and only granted for material defects we can't resolve via support.

4. Updates

Your purchase includes all updates within the 1.x version line. Major version upgrades (e.g. 2.0, 3.0) may require a paid upgrade. Existing customers will be offered a 50% discount on major upgrades.

5. Trial

Klippit may be downloaded and evaluated free of charge for 14 days from first launch. After the trial period, the recording feature is disabled until a licence key is entered. The library and existing recordings remain accessible.

6. No warranty

Klippit is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Nothing in these terms limits any of your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law that cannot be waived by contract.

7. Limitation of liability

Our total liability arising out of or relating to the Software shall not exceed the amount you paid for the licence in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

9. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via the changelog and the home page. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
